Selama ni gua sentiasa beranggapan AppleTV adalah satu produk Apple yg gagal. Segmen jualan dan sewaan video digital yg Apple cuba menyelit adalah segmen yg sudah selesa bagi NetFlix, Amazon.com serta Blockbuster. Apatah lagi di Malaysia. Dengan harganya yg mahal dan hanya berfungsi sebagai DVP (Digital Video Player), sapa sangat la nak beli. Tapi, tahukah korang penjualan AppleTV sebenarnya telah meningkat sebanyak 300% dari tahun lepas?! Whadde...?!Tim Cook mengatakan...
There was a tremendous tickup year over year [for Apple TV]. In fact unit sales were up over 3 times vs the year-ago quarter. However let me be clear, we still consider this is a hobby.
It is clear the movie rental business is working and there are more customers who want to try it. We will continue to invest there, because we believe there is something there for us in the future.
Satu feature je yg gua mengharap sangat ada pada AppleTV akan datang - DVR (Digital Video Recorder). Ada benda alah ni, kompom gua beli!
